Last Tuesday I was photographing various sites from the air, we took off from Birr Airfield and flew to Charleville back to Athy on to Mullingar and then Castlebar before flying back to Birr, included here are a selection of views between our destinations, Ireland is a beautiful country but it really opens up when viewed from above.

This reminds me of a time I was flying in the far north. The pilot went low so that I could see the migrating caribou. At first they were invisible... then I saw them. Millions of them... it seemed... but all is small groups or 5, 10 or 20 animals. It is a sight I shall never forget.
