Stop la Guerra

Like most people who saw the news feeds coming from Paris on November 13 I was shaken by the sudden violence that erupted in the co-ordinated attacks. Even though worse has happend in other parts of the world we seem to ignore it, probably because Syria, Iraq etc are already places of conflict and we almost come to expect it but Paris being closer to home seemed to drive a fear that this kind of attack could happen on our own doorstep. I decided to take a short trip to Paris a few days later to see what kind of effect these attacks had on the city and to be honest except for the scenes of the atrocities it was very much life as normal despite the best efforts of the tabloids to spread fear. Despite the events of the 13th Paris is still a safe place to visit and tourists were everywhere so if you have a trip, planned to Paris over the nexr coming weeks or months GO and don't let the terrorists win by cancelling your trip that is what they want.
