Saffron 8

A few weeks ago I photographed the Saffron Harvest in a little village called Civitaretenga, Abruzzo, Italy, Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world and after seeing the work ( mostly by hand ) that goes into it it is easy to understand why. This series is an edited version of the full shoot but it tells the story
Even though it was many years since this patch of ground was used for growing the crocus flowers, they still pop up!!
